Live Earth is the name for a series of multi-venue concerts of pop and rock music featuring various artists. The concerts aimed to raise awareness about man-caused climate change and to encourage people to live greener lives, all the while accepting the need to contribute to a global carbon tax. The concerts have the intent of bringing together more than 150 of the world's most popular music acts and drawing an estimated worldwide audience of 2 billion people, making it one of the largest global events in history. This year, MSN did a live streaming to give online audience something to rave about.
A landmark audience of viewers from around the world has united at www.LiveEarth.MSN.com to experience the excitement of today’s Live Earth concerts and to confront the threat of global warming. As of 3:00 p.m. EDT, MSN had received a total of more than 10 million video streams and has the most simultaneous viewers of any online concert ever.
The purpose of Live Earth is to raised the awareness of audience world wide on the woes of the Earth. However, does it really achieved that target. I really hope that some day my child would be able to really see this green earth, I am support the cause, I am just not sure how effective the message been brought across. With this live earth, what are the changes to make the world better?

Who are we kidding, the people who went to the concerts were only interested in the music, not how bad is the situation on earth. All would be worth it if people got the message. However from the report I read it seems that all these was in vain.
The concern generated required lots of energy to produce, so talk about electricity saving Mr Gore. How much was used to power the series of concerts?
Let's look at the aftermath, look at the tons of refuse left behind the concert goers. I can't help to think they have reduce the life span of earth by another 10 years.
